Guess who's in Cleo magazine???

Surprise... Look who's hanging out on page 180 of the latest issue (Jan 2010) of Cleo Magazine!!!

Since spotting my home featured on Made By Girl blog, Lifestyle features editor Joanna Barry has been busy putting together a page around the things I do and make! In an issue bursting with style - well it was curated by fashion designer Alice McCall - CLEO invites you to "have a perve through the window of the coolest pads from here and OS (minus the AVO)".

A big thank you to Joanna, who did a lovely job of it - and choosing some fabulous "Get the Look" items all of which I (ahem) have to get!!! (I really really want that cutlery now!!!). And my gratitude also goes to Jennifer Ramos (Made By Girl) for pointing the way! xxx

But wait, there's another fabulous reason to grab a copy... on page 32, our very own Lady Smaggle (part-time Canberra girl) shows us another fabulous fashion DIY!

And if you're visiting Canberra's Got Style for the first time, welcome! Put your feet up with a cuppa and check out the archives! If you are looking for more about my home, click on the "casa ribena" tag. If you are looking for my Tango & James shop, there's a link at the top of the side bar, and if you are looking for other brilliant Canberran designers check out the designers tag.

Tango & James this Christmas...

Only 5 weeks until Christmas... Here's the perfect gift idea for the sassy gals in your life... make up a set from the Tango & James jewellery range at Handmade Market on Saturday November 21st and have it gift wrapped for free, ready to sneak under the tree! There are loads of combinations to please anyone, but here are some of my faves...

I'll also have a limited run of handbags...

and more clocks, lamps and cushions...

All handmade by yours truly right here in Canberra!

Don't miss out, come and find me at the Christmas Handmade Market, I'll be in the "ballroom" inside the Yarralumla Woolshed. It's open on Friday night too, but Tango & James will only be there on Saturday. I love it when you all say hello and I can't wait to see you there...

Oh yes: KimoYES

Since discovering KimoYES at the first Vintage fair last year they have been my most eagerly sought stall every time. I was thrilled to learn they are Canberrans and are expanding their range of handmade items which will be available at the Old Bus Depot markets and at the next installment of the fabulous Handmade Market (Sept 12)...

Already established as merchants of beautiful vintage kimono panels and off-cuts online, mother and daughter team, Jill and Jane Grant of KimoYES also create incredible quilts and cushions. New to the collection are baby booties, fashion brooches and an amazing collection of unique fascinators - what an awesome way to use these fabrics!

Stay tuned at Handmade Market for the launch of Chinchilla Creations, a fashion line of embellished shirts and fascinators developed by Jane... I can't wait!

So Gorgeous! Shop online at KimoYES.com and see them at Handmade Market in bloom in September. Love it!

Handmade Market: Shameless self promotion

So I may have mentioned this earlier, but the Winter Warmer Handmade Market is on this Saturday at Albert Hall featuring the best designers and crafts people in town. I have finished preparations and have had a little fun styling my wares ready for the big day. So may I proudly present Tango & James nest Autumn 2009...

If you are in town, please stop by the market and say hello - I'll be up on the stage inside the hall... can't wait!
