Canberrans can join the ranks of Carl Kapp wearers such as Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Rose Byrne, and Rachael Taylor, and acquire pieces from the collection which are not available anywhere else in Canberra. Trans-seasonal pieces from the Winter Collection will also be available on the day.
"Since launcing the brand in 2005 we've had a growing number of Canberra-based customers. As our tailored suiting has a very strong following, I feel this is a very important demographic for us as we offer jackets classic enough to wear to the office or parliament but different enough to make it a must-have addition to any wardrobe.."

The booty: a couple of bargains
Thanks to the Vinnies Monster Clothing sale on Saturday, here are a couple of gorgeous goodies I scrummaged... for a whole $5 I grabbed an as-new Mambo tweedy overnight bag, gorgeous nude and black gorgette scarf and completely cute clutch.
Actually, I ended up there as a volunteer for the morning - re-hanging the many fallen and discarded items on the floor. I'm sure glad I went to the trouble though, of selecting the perfect outfit to clash horribly with the fluoro vest I was given to wear for my shift! But then again... what does go with fluoro orange???
It felt really nice to help out... and I got to shop thoroughly afterward... marvelous fun!
Did you go too? What bargains did you get?

Spotted... this gorgeous rocking chair on Allbids Me2u, with more than a passing resemblance to the original Thonet rocking chair. It's probably a reproduction, but still a knockout piece in my book...
Check out the listing here for it's amusing life story as a nursery feeding chair by an exasperated father!
