Don't Miss: Vintage Fair

Hat's off to fashion - A special one day event... Following the unexpectedly enormous response to the first Vintage Fair back in July... the "Way Wear - Fairs" crowd are back this Saturday for a follow-up event which is sure to be as huge as the last one.

Once again all of 'the best' dealers from around Australia at Canberra's historic Albert Hall for the best vintage clothing, accessories, fashion ephemera, jewellery and more.
I'll be heading straight for the Button Bower and checking out some fabulous accessories, can't wait!

Don't Miss it,The vintage fair is on this Saturday at Albert Hall from 10am to 6pm $10 entry.

Why don't you: add colour with cane?

I have recently noticed a flood of typically daggy cane furniture on offer on Canberra's Dola auction site, op shops and revolve, usually with appalling fabric upholstered cushions, and it has inspired me to show you how we can update the look. Easy to DIY... paint it, and add some adorable fabric... these pieces will add a splash of colour and interest to a corner of your room this weekend...

Don't be shy with red...and team it with some cute fabric. Not Cane, but a similar look can be achieved with cane.

Check out the DOLA auctions here (love the bedheads - perfect in a little girl's bedroom in red or an adult bedroom in apple green or yellow), and get your fabric at Addicted to Fabric, Phillip. Lovely!

Letterhead love

aWhat's new in the Canberra's Got Style office? Just arrived: black and white "Letterhead" fabric panels by talented Aussie textile designer Shannon Lamden of Aunty Cookie. I've made them into a set of divine little feature cushions...

They make a neat reference back to elements in the inspiration boards (a work in progress) above. Gorgeous!

More High Tea: Fashion at The Canberra Centre

A divine Saturday morning saw the perfect opportunity to meet up with fellow Canberra blogger, the hilarious Grant of Ink and Leather, at the latest C High Tea at the Hyatt. With a fashion show aimed at Breast Cancer awareness, and Spring Carnival racewear, here are my highlights...

Prints are happening: florals, elephants and ponies.
(Does anyone else think this guy looks like Jude law?)

Lovely to see the divine Juan struttin!

Elegance frou-frou and fascinators

Fresh whites and Blues

Hot bags and dazzling shoes
Sassy, sweet and sexy

Some fabulous famous people: Grant, Ninaribena and Imelda herself.
Happiness in a glass of bubbles

Hope you had a lovely weekend, love Nina x
