Thanks to Icon Movies and Canberra's Got Style, we have a special giveaway to my style-loving readers... 8 Double passes to a beautiful film by fashion designer Tom Ford: A Single Man...
Set in a sun-drenched 1960s California coastal canyon, featuring revealing performances by Colin Firth (foxy), Julianne Moore (I'm just freaking loving her hair) and Matthew Goode, A SINGLE MAN marks the breakthrough directorial debut of internationally influential American fashion icon (and former Gucci head designer) Tom Ford. Targeting indelible images of love, loss and rebirth, the film is a personal testament, filled with deep emotional resonance. So don't forget the tissues!
Torn apart by the shattering impact of the death of his long-time lover, college professor George Falconer (Best Actor Oscar nominee, Colin Firth) experiences the most transformative day of his life, blending past and present, desire and despair, and discovering that love persists even after the object of love is gone.
Take a look at the preview... Oh {sigh}...
A Single Man opens nationally on February 25th and will be showing in Canberra at Dendy Cinema. To be in the draw to win one of 8 double passes to the film, just leave a comment to this post, I'll be choosing the winners by random draw on Friday morning (19th). Australian residents only.
How delicious... don't you just love it?
Love Nina x

Yaaay, free stuff!
you are too kind - rather than invite your 16 best friends you are treating your readers!
I've been looking forward to this film for the longest time! It looks fabulous, doesn't it?
I LOVE Tom Ford, and so does my husband. This would be the best present...I'd love to win a double pass.
Thanks for the giveaway Ninaribena, I would've been very tempted to keep this for myself.
Oh this looks like a wonderful movie. Would love to see it.
I've heard amazing things about Tom Ford's direction, it does look like a visual feast. The kind of movie you watch for acting, then watch for decor!! Love Posie
Julianne Moore looks great in mid-centry costume, like the 1950's dresses she wore in The Hours. Would love to see her in this.
Oh I can't do sad movies! You will have to come with me.
It looks so beautiful, I can't wait to see it :)
the preview looks fantastic.
Would looove to see this movie. My first in 2 years (4 small children).
Wow. One cool giveaway. You are too generous. My girlfriends would so thrilled. Hope you're enjoying all this magnificent rain.
hmmm, a free movie would be great. Love your blog Ninaribena!
Pick me pick me pick me! (pretty please with a cherry on top...)
A first release movie at a real picture theatre? With Tom Ford? And Movenpick choc tops? I can't think of anything more delicious...
I have not heard about this film at all - where have I been hiding? I love Julianne Moore and Colin Firth, and it just looks like it will be cinema Candy with Tom Ford behind it all. This would be the perfect excuse to leave the kidlets at home and kick up my heels!
I saw the poster for this recently and had no idea what it was about. Thanks for the blurb - sounds intriguing!
Looks like the perfect movie to treat my poor girlfriend too.... She just broke her arm....unfortuantely thats True! Ps I am loving my bird bag that I picked up from you at the last Handmade market...thanks
Oooh, looks like a great movie, and yay for freebie's!
I already have the movie poster, now I just need to see the movie, it looks really good.
I can feel a date night coming on! :-)
oooh, intriquing...a night with Colin Firth...what more could a girl want?
Not only a night with Colin Firth but delicious looking Tom Ford visuals as well! Thank you for considering your commentators this way Ninaribena.
Be interested to see how Tom Ford goes at film making. Over achiever much?
Oooh! OOOH! Pick me! I HAVE to go and see the film because Mr. Ford and I are DESTINED to be together, and as such I should probably go and see the film, no?
Plus, Julianne Moore - AMAZING!
Xx
If I win I'll take MySweetMuse so it will be making two people EXTRA happy!
Pretty please? After a dismal Valentine's Day, the theme of love and despair resonates (and the thought of Colin Firth soothes.)
Ooh, how lovely - I swing by your blog and here is this post :)
I'll be going to see this film anyway - I'm so excited about/jealous of Tom Ford's multi-talented wizardry. I swear that man must have sold his voice to the sea witch (soul to the devil??) or something.
Oh my goodness, I am so happy to have found this blog! I've just recently moved to Canberra and am anxious to show my girlfriends from up north that there ARE things to do here...I'm thinking of hosting a high tea, AND taking them to see this amongst other things, so I'd love to win tix!

I was simultaneously thrilled and terrified when I heard of Mr Ford's upcoming film project - I love the man, but what if it were an all style and no substance vanity project?! I'm so glad to discover he's used a new medium to bring both beauty and depth into the world again... can't wait!!
Am I ready to see a gay Mr D'Arcy - absolutely!
Looks fabulous! Love Julianne Moore
Oh La La. This film looks like "Mad Men" style of fabulous!
I just recently read about this film in an article about Tom Ford. I can't wait to see it!
Looks superb!
Pick me, pick me...please. Looks like a great movie
