Frocktober 16: Pippi Longstocking

It's freeeeezing today (relative to Spring anyway)... but I thought a little colour would brighten the gloominess of this grey day. Here's a little look at the 'project' I mentioned on Thursday... turns out I scored one table for my study and this one for our entry/hall. The timber details are gorgeous, but it will need re-finishing - to paint or stain?

I also couldn't help myself at Typo (again!!!) and bought the cuckoo clock - which I may or may not paint.

The frock is a vintage Ebay find in baby pink, big buttons on the front and knife pleats all around the skirt - it's actually a very demure dress - but not when you add Pippi Longstocking legs (more Alannah Hill)!

Definitely winter weather! It actually snowed (big fat flakes!) on our way to swimming lessons this morning - the first time Isobel has seen it. It's freakin' October!

Loving that detail on the new hall table. Score!

Eeep, I sure hope the pool was heated!
No snow at our place... if it's going to be that cold I'd have like to see some snow!

In a dress!!! Wishing I'd bought some thermals or tights or something!!
