Hooked on Swap-bot

I can blame the Shopping Sherpa for this, she was the host for the first swap I did, the April Black and White Swap. The idea of swapping items of interest across the world intrigued me completely - brilliant fun (I just love sending and receiving parcels!). The recipient of the black and white handbag I sent (to Canada) was well pleased (well that's what she told me!).

And now, in a moment of Canberran pride, I find myself committed to 2 more...
Candy From Your Part Of The World
I will be sending some Australian lollies or choccies to my random swap partner in Finland! Tim Tams were my first choice, but I need to think Gluten free - so I'm thinking 'Eucalyptus and Honey drops', Cadbury chocs with Aussie animals, and Darryl Lea Chocolate Macadamias. Or maybe Byron Bay biscotti with lemon Myrtle. What are your favourite Australian 'candies'?

Show Me Your Town
I'm looking forward to showing someone the best bits of Canberra in a virtual tour of our fabulous city. I will be sending another random swap partner a write-up of the day we 'spend together', tickets and receipts and photos of the things we saw and did. Would anyone like to be my imaginary/virtual tourist and spend a day with me? I will be sure to share our day out with the Canberra's Got Style readers.

and just for the challenge...
The Purse That Wasn't
I will be making a handbag or tote made from materials other than fabric - something that was never intended to become a handbag... and I have 11 days to do it!!! Sounds like a brilliant job of recycling fun!

Furry Friends are a definite for the choccies in my opinion. Caramello Koalas might be another option .. Making me hungry :)

I usually fall back to my old faves: Caramello Koalas (either the jumbo sized ones or, if I can find a shop that stocks them, the multi bag of smalls). Also the Blinky Bill jelly koalas from (I think) The Natural something or other company always go down well (both in this house and elsewhere - often I have to make a second run to Target as I ate the first packet before packing it!)

And aren't Redskins Aussie? I'd never heard of them before I moved here...

Did you get your B&W swap parcel yet? I'm still (im)patiently waiting. It's worse since I stumbled across a photo of the contents :-/

As for the Show Me Your Town I'm happy to be your real life tourist. Sounds like fun!

I like Cocoa Farm chocolate. The only one made from organic cocoa beans grown in Australia. Mind you, I find it hard to stop myself raiding the shop (I'm a retailer) as it's only a few metres from the couch...
